It also describes your rights to us and how you can assert your rights. By using Mint's services, you agree to our Privacy Policy and our processing of your personal information. SECTION 1 – WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND WHAT DO WE DO WITH IT?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us, such as your name, address and email address. When contacting our customer support we do also collect personal data related to your inquiry for us to be able to properly help you. In all of these cases we only collect and save data for as long as it is necessary to full fill our agreement of your purchase. For every specific process of personal data we collect from you, we will inform you whether the provision of personal data is statutory or required to enter a contract and whether it is an obligation to provide the personal data and possible consequences if you choose not to. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. The cookies may collect session information such as pages viewed, session duration, transactions made and demographics such as location, gender and age.

With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

SECTION 2 - CONSENT

HOW DO YOU GET MY CONSENT?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

You are also able to opt out directly via emails we send to you, as all marketing related emails have an opt-out link at the bottom of each mail.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. We will never save your personal data any longer than is necessary for each purpose. See more about the specific storage periods for each purpose.

PAYMENT

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 5 - THIRD PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. In cases where it is necessary for us to offer our services, we share your personal data with companies that are so-called data processors for us. A data processor is a company that processes the information on our behalf and according to our instructions. We have personal information assistants who help us with:

  1. Transport (logistics companies and freight forwarders).
  2. Payment solutions (short-term companies, banks and other payment service providers).
  3. Marketing (print and distribution, social media, media agencies or advertising agencies).
  4. IT services (companies that handle necessary operations, technical support and maintenance of our IT solutions).

When your personal information is shared with a data processor, it is only for purposes that are consistent with the purposes for which we have collected the information (for example, to fulfill our obligations under the Purchase Agreement. We check all Data processors to ensure that they can provide sufficient safeguards regarding the security and confidentiality of personal data.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Independent data processors with whom we share your personal information that have their own policies are:

  1. Government agencies (police, tax authorities or other authorities) if we are required to do so by law or in suspicion of crime.
  2. Companies dealing with general freight transport (logistics companies and freight forwarders).
  3. Businesses offering payment solutions (card-insolvent companies, banks and other payment service providers).
